A vintage handmade filet crochet tablecloth in white cotton. The panel is worked in filet crochet - a square-mesh openwork ground filled with a design of flowers and scrolling foliage around a central motif, and finished with a hand-crocheted picot scalloped edge to all sides.
Crafted by hand from fine cotton thread, the mesh showing the slight tension variations typical of hand work. Sourced in southern Spain, unmarked, and 20th century in date. It measures approximately 1x1 meter and is in excellent vintage condition, no holes, with one small stain near the trim.
