When Spanish monks discovered the palo santo wood´s ability to cleanse and heal, they named the tree “palo santo,” which means “holy wood”.  While some burning herbs are used only to cleanse a space from negative energy, others are then used to attract positive energy afterwards.

Palo santo is rare, because it does both at the same time.
